On an India trip, Google CEO Sundar Pichai visited President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. Rashtrapati Bhavan’s official account tweeted images from the meeting along with the following statement: “CEO of Google and Alphabet Sundar Pichai called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President described Shri Pichai, a recipient of Padma Bhushan, as a symbol of Indian talent and wisdom and urged him to work for universal digital literacy in India.” The purpose of the meeting was to discuss women’s education and economic development in India through the “Women Will” program.
On March 8, 2021, “International Women’s Day,” Google launched the brand-new online platform “Women Will.” This platform will empower 1 million rural Indian women so they may start their businesses through accelerator programs, business lessons, and mentoring. Now Google has reached there aim with the hitting of 1 million subscriptions. Pichai said he was proud to reach 1M women entrepreneurs with our Women Will program.
