IAF appreciated efforts of mid-air refueling provided by the UAE Air Force

The Indian Air Force (IAF) appreciated the efforts of in-flight refueling provided by the UAE Air Force Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft for assisting the IAF Su-30 MKI that was flying nonstop for six hours for the Tactical Leadership Programme to Egypt.

In a recent tweet Ani has reported, “IAF deeply appreciates the in-flight refueling provided by the UAE Air Force MRTT aircraft which assisted the IAF Su-30 MKI formation to seamlessly undertake nearly 6 hours of non-stop ferry while proceeding to Egypt for the Tactical Leadership Program: Indian Air Force (IAF).”

Sources state that it is not the first time that the UAE has provided this amount of assistantship. In 2021 the UAE has reported deploying Airbus 330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) tankers in order to refuel Rafale jets in the mid-air. The Rafale fighter jets were flying non-stop to India from France. The UAE has started to provide mid-air fueling services to the Indian Air Force since 2021 and it is still continuing.

A team of air specialists from the Indian Air Force arrived in Egypt on Wednesday for participating in a bilateral Tactical Leadership Programme with the Egyptian Air Force. Tactical Leadership Programme which is a multinational center for advanced training for pilots and crews. It is a Pilot School of NATO along with other 10 nations developed to improve the effectiveness of the Allied Air Forces.
