India to start manufacturing flex fuel vehicles and hybrid Electric Vehicles

Nitin Gadkari, Union Transport Minister announced on December 27 that he has instructed automobile manufactory in India to commence preparing Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFV) and Flex Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles (FFV-SHEV) in subordination with BS-6 standards in a time-bound way within an interval of 6 months.
He told that this scheme willy significantly curtail greenhouse gas emissions from automobiles on a well-to-wheel purpose and  this will enable India to acknowledge with its responsibility made at COP26 to lessen the whole projected carbon emissions by 1 billion tonnes by 2030.

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways has  announced that this change will benefit alternative India’s petroleum import for fuel and contribute immediate advantages to farmers.

Administration is facilitating the aim of several substitute fuels in an undertaking to change positions from fossil fuels. In ordinance to stimulate the beginning of Flex Fuel vehicles, the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) proposal has encompassed automobile & auto elements of flex fuel engines. NITI Aayog, after conceding the powerful institute for the Ethanol blending programme (EBP), has developed the road map for the interval between 2020-2025.

Prime Minister’s endeavours of releasing 3 E-100 ethanol dispensing depots at Pune on the occurrence of World Environment Day, and MoPNG’s (Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas) legislation, which specifies that in extension to traditional fuel, the authorised commodities are compelled to inaugurate capability for commerce at least one modern substitute fuel, Compressed Natural Gas(CNG), Bio-fuels obeying with various judiciary procedures, sudden steps need to be carried to inaugurate flex fuel engine automobiles.
