IRCTC’s Shri Ramayan Yatra Train becomes World’s First Train to get Vegetarian certificate
The Sattvik council of India has given a vegetarian certificate to the ‘Shri Ramayan Yatra’ train. The certificate has been allocated to promote vegetarianism railway services.
With this, the ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra’ principle-based pilgrimage trip by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has become the primary one in the whole world certified by a vegetarian certificate. The train encircles many spiritual spots in various states and the service is reliable to vegetarians who are touring to these religious places by train.
The initial train started its voyage on 7 November 2021 from New Delhi and will visit up to Rameswaram and return to New Delhi.
The Rampath Yatra Express, connecting Maharashtra’s Pune to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh waned off formerly with an aim to facilitate pilgrimage tourism. The new outstanding train will cover six pilgrim destinations correlated with Lord Ram. These include Nandigram, Shringverpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Ayodhya.
IRCTC will stimulate vegetarianism by bringing some trains Sattvik certified, particularly those running on paths attaching spiritual locations.
