Mann ki baat: PM Modi appreciates efforts of Goa to preserve culture
In today’s Mann ki baat PM Modi also congratulated people of Goa for their liberation. He says,”It is our duty to preserve and popularise our culture. It is equally gladdening to see global efforts that celebrate Indian culture,”. He also appreciated by saying, “During the Portuguese rule in Goa, people who migrated from there introduced the people of other states to this wonderful painting. With the passage of time this painting was fading. But Sagar Mule ji has breathed new life into this art. His efforts are also getting much appreciation”
He further added, “A small effort, even a small step, can make a huge contribution in preserving our rich arts. If the people of our country are determined, then the passion to decorate, beautify and save our ancient arts across the country can take the form of a mass movement.”

PM Modi also discuss about Arunachal Pradesh, which has more than 500 species of birds, including some indigenous species, which aren’t found anywhere else in the world. But now the number of birds in the forests has started declining. An ‘airgun surrender campaign’ is going on to rectify this situation.
