Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi requests people to popularise habit of reading
PM Modi said that we should popularise the habit of reading books. The Prime Minister said, “Let us make reading more popular. I urge you all to share which books you read this year. This way you will help others make their reading list for 2022.” In an era where screen time is increasing, let us also make reading books popular: PM Modi .
Last year too in one of the Mann Ki Baat episodes PM Modi urged citizens to read books and make a habit of it. In that Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi said, “In this digital era of Google guru, I request to you, please devote some time for reading. You will love this exercise. I urge you all to talk about the books you read on the ‘Narendra Modi Mobile App.’ Let us have discussions on the books we read and why we liked them”. He further added, “ My dear countrymen, you must have heard it several times from me ‘No Bouquet, But Book’, My insistence has been to gift books rather than giving bouquet while meeting and greeting other people, and several people have now started gifting books.”
