Nitin Gadkari announced minimum of 6 airbags is compulsory for vehicles carrying up to 8 passengers

Nitin Gadkari, Union minister for road transport and highways on Friday has announced on a twitter that he has ratified a design GSR announcement to bring a minimum of 6 airbags mandatory for machine automobiles that hold over 8 inmates.

In a sequel of tweets, Gadkari furthermore announced that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had already demanded the commission of the fitment of the driver airbag beneficial from 1st July 2019 and overlook co-passenger airbag, beneficial from 1st January.
