Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 97th Birth Anniversary

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not just an Indian politician but moreover a tremendous leader, an outstanding rhetorician, and a columnist. He came to be the initial non-Congress Prime Minister. He was appointed to the Lok Sabha 9 times and twice to the Rajya Sabha.

Today is the 97th Birth Anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Since 2014, this day is celebrated as ‘Good Governance Day.’

The Prime Minister furthermore paid homages to freedom fighter and educationist Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya on his birth anniversary.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Bihari also spelt as Behari was born on 25 December, 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He deceased on 16th August 2018 in Delhi. He was the governor of Bharatiya Janta Party and elected twice as Prime Minister of India.
Vajpayee proclaimed his retirement from politics at the verge of 2005. In the end of December 2014 he was granted the Bharat Ratna, India’s biggest civilian honour.

Vajpayee, a prominent rhetorician was popular for frequently smashing into poetry in parliament. He is constantly interpreted as the Nehru of the right.

On this special occasion, Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath will allocate the appliances to the students at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. In this early stage, priority will be provided to final-year students of MA, BA, BSc, ITI, MBBS, MD, BTech, MTech, PhD, MSME and skill growth among others. For this, the state government has sanctioned over 10.5 lakh smartphones and 7.20 lakh tablets.
