Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks about Stress Relievers should be given to the Police
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi said the previous view of internal security during the colonial period was based on instilling fear among the mass peacekeepers in the colonial monarchy.
Similarly, the previous situation was very different as security forces had more time to prepare which is no longer the case as technology and transportation and communications have greatly improved. He also said that today’s police work requires skills such as negotiation and other soft skills needed to operate in a democratic environment.
He also focused on changing the opinion of police and security. He noticed that criminals can use technology to betray police, then why can’t police do the same.
Stress relievers are also needed in the police department to make policemen feel relaxed.
Students were told to make their humanity values. Also, increasing number of girls and women in police field is a very good thing.
Also, some academic degrees are being provided in field of security, police science and law.
Post independence, there was a need of reforms in the country's security apparatus.
A perception was developed that we have to be careful of the uniformed personnel.
But it has transformed now. When people see uniformed personnel now, they get the assurance of help: PM
