Russia Embassy in India thanked Indian Defence Minister for his recent visit with Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu

Today India’s defense minister Mr. Rajnath Singh met with Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu in Moscow. Both of them discussed increasing military ties between each other. The Indian Defense Minister is on a three-day visit to Moscow. Russia Embassy in India tweeted: Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu thanked the Defence Minister of India Rajnath Singh for visiting Moscow in June and highlighted the colossal potential of collaboration between #Russia and #India. Military and military & technical cooperation were discussed.

The official twitter account of the Russia embassy in India also said that both Russia and India should act as equal partners in world affairs.

Indian defense minister Mr. Rajnath Singh also thanked the Russian counterpart and tweeted: Excellent meeting with the Russian Defence Minister General Sergey Shoigu in Moscow today. We talked about a wide range of issues, particularly how to deepen defense and strategic cooperation between both the countries.

There is also a news floating that Chinese Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe has requested Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for a meeting on the sidelines of SCO meet in Moscow. China had made a similar request earlier this year during Victory Day celebrations in Russia which India had rejected.
