Ms. Irani said that by insulting the President the accused Congress leader has also insulted every woman belonging to the tribal community. She demanded an apology from Sonia Gandhi because of his leader’s humiliating remark about the women from the poor tribal community.

After the Lok Sabha was adjourned Ms. Gandhi walked up to BJP member Rama Devi and asked why she was dragged into this. Soon after Ms. Irani protested against the Congress leader’s remark in front of Ms. Gandhi who was seen at first ignoring her and then gesturing angrily. After the incident, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman claimed that Ms. Gandhi “told a BJP member not to talk to her,”  while making angry gestures.

A government official said, “An apology has to come from the Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. There’s no question of anything else.” At the same time, Ms. Sitharaman also demanded an apology from Congress Chief as she represents the party by saying, “It was a deliberate sexiest insult. Sonia Gandhi should apologize to the President of India and the country.

However, the Cabinet Minister didn’t take any name regarding the feud.
