SpiceJet flight with passengers onboard collides with electric pole at Delhi airport
A SpiceJet flight carrying passengers collided with an electric pole at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The incident occurred on Monday during the aircraft’s pushback.
According to airport officials, the aircraft was changed as a result of the incident, and passengers were rerouted to another flight. They also stated that an investigation into the incident has been launched.
According to the airline, flight SG 160 was scheduled to depart from Delhi for Jammu.
“SpiceJet flight SG 160 was scheduled to operate today between Delhi and Jammu.” During the push back, the right-wing trailing edge made close contact with a pole, causing aileron damage. SpiceJet spokesperson said, “A replacement aircraft has been arranged to operate the flight.”
According to reports, the incident involved a Boeing 737-800 aircraft and occurred while the plane was transitioning from the passenger terminal to the runway. The incident caused damage to both the plane and the electric pole.
Following the incident, the plane was returned to the bay, and passengers were transferred to another plane.
