On November 10, India will host the Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan, which is a regional conference for national security advisors (NSAs). According to news agency ANI, the meeting would be chaired by India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
This will be the third summit of its kind; the first two took place in Iran in September 2018 and December 2019. Due to the pandemic, the third meeting, which was planned to take place in India, was postponed.
According to ANI sources, India’s invitation has received a massive response.
The involvement of Central Asian countries, as well as Russia and Iran, has been confirmed. This is the first time that all of Central Asia will be represented, not only Afghanistan’s close geographical neighbours.

In this process, India has a significant role to play “, according to sources quoted by ANI.
