Was Kozhikode plane disaster was caused by the pilot consuming sugar syrup against medical advice?

A flight IX1344 carrying Indians stranded overseas crashed during Corona. The plane was flying from the United Arab Emirates to Kerala’s Kozhikode. The mishap occurred on the Kozhikode airport runway. The jet skidded off the runway, causing the crash. The airliner carried 190 passengers. The accident claimed the lives of 21 people. Both pilots were killed as well. Following the accident, the inquiry began. The issue of the investigation’s completion is now being discussed. According to reports, several alarming details have surfaced during the probe.

The jet slipped on the runway due to weather, according to the initial examination. However, it has been reported that the plane crash inquiry has been concluded. In addition, the study contains a number of new revelations. On Twitter, a person named PKR started a lengthy thread concerning the accident inquiry. In it it is said to explain in-depth the incident of that day and the causes for it based on an alleged government inquiry report. Let’s have a look at these assertions.

Claimed Reasons

According to PKR, there are two key causes behind this accident. The initial pilot was unable to complete the flight. Second, poor CRM training, because when the pilots were unable to fly the flight, the co-pilot was unable to communicate with his senior pilot.
The first issue that emerges is why the pilots were unable to fly the airplane. According to PKR, the pilot was diagnosed with hypoglycemia after a government probe. What is hypoglycemia, and how does it affect you? Diabetes is a sugar-related disease that affects people. An increase in sugar levels in the blood or the body. Hypoglycemia is the opposite of hyperglycemia. That indicates a low blood sugar level denotes a lack of sugar.

According to PKR, the pilots were taking drugs that were not prescribed by a doctor in order to maintain a healthy blood sugar level. Pilot was using metformin to control his blood sugar levels. However, he had not been prescribed this medication by a doctor. Pilot was also taking an Ayurvedic remedy called Madhukalp Vati for his sugar problems.

According to the investigation, the pilot’s blood sugar level dropped as a result of these two medicines, and he developed hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is thought to impair a person’s ability to think and make decisions. As a result, this became the cause of the accident.

Another component of this probe has come to light, according to the accusation, when the flight’s pilot was unable to manage the plane, the co-pilot did not assume charge. It’s known as a terrible CRM in technical terms. Crew Resource Management, or Cockpit Resource Management, is what it’s called.

That is, during training, a complete procedure for handling the flight in the event of an emergency is taught. However, when the pilots in IX1344 were unable to manage the flight, the pilot did not intervene. As a result, 21 people were killed.
