What might be the reason for the IAF Helicopter crash carrying CDS Bipin Rawat? Check it out!

An Indian Air Force Mi-17V5 helicopter crashed near the Cooner area of Tamil Nadu. There were fourteen people on board with various senior officials like CDS Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, Brig LS Lidder, Lt Col Harjinder Singh, NK Gursewak Singh, NK Jitendra Kr, L/Naik Vivek Kumar, L/Naik B Sai Teja & Hav Satpal according to ANI.

The massive crash led to the death of five till now and many taken to hospital in serious conditions. The CDS General Bipin Rawat has also faced severe burns and taken to hospital in a very critical condition.

The visuals of the massive crash in the Nanjappanchathiram area show heavy mist in the woods with the helicopter in flames. The military rescue teams have reached to save the ones on board.

The exact reason of the crash is still not known. IAF also tweeted, “An IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter, with CDS Gen Bipin Rawat on board, met with an accident today near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. An Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.”

The inquiries are still going on to find the reasons. There could be some malfunction in the engine of the chopper which led to its imbalance or maybe the pilot lost control due to climatic issues of something else. Any unexpected damages in the roters blades may have led to the massive crash of the chopper.

The Union minister is going to brief the Parliament regarding the incident. Everyone are just hoping for the safety of the officials with the inquiries going to the figure out the main reason of the crash.
