Why biggest airliners in India are facing multiple airplane emergency landings?
In the past few weeks, we all have seen many flights being either delayed or some of them making emergency landings. The biggest carrier in India’s airspace is Spicejet, Indigo and even Vistara has one or more incidents in just one week.
Just today itself there were two cases reported on was of Spicejet cargo plane while another incident happened with Vistara airlines. Is it because of the profit-making that is causing these airlines to forgo passenger safety?
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday sent budget airline SpiceJet a show-cause notice for reporting eight malfunction issues in the previous 18 days. DGCA has been working together with all the airlines to make safer and easier travel for everyone.
However, the recent issues that have caused multiple planes to do emergency landings in just one week are quite astonishing.
The private airline has been charged by the DGCA with failing to establish safe, effective, and dependable aviation services in accordance with the 1937 Aircraft Rules. It’s significant to note that the FCC has long criticised Indian carriers for their lax safety regulations. In the most recent occurrence, a SpiceJet flight that was its route to Chongqing, China, turned around and returned to Kolkata on Tuesday after the pilots discovered that the weather radar on board was malfunctioning.
Due to a technical issue, a SpiceJet 737 Max flight from Delhi to Dubai once had to make an emergency landing in Karachi. The largest domestic private airline in India, IndiGo, had already reported delays on as many as 900 flights.
