China will conduct dedicated surgical strikes in protest of Pelosi’s visit : Report
As tensions between Washington and Beijing rise, China’s military promised Tuesday to carry out “targeted military strikes” in reaction to Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan.
In a statement denouncing the visit, Wu Qian, a spokesman for the defence ministry, said: “The Chinese People’s Liberation Army is on high alert and will launch a series of targeted military operations to counter this, resolutely defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and resolutely thwart external interference and ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist attempts.”
