According to Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, Russian President Vladimir Putin is increasing the military force and capability along Ukraine’s border with each passing day.
“This is a military that continues to strengthen and become more prepared.” “We feel he has a number of capabilities and options available to him if he wants to employ military force,” Kirby said in an interview with MSNBC on Monday.
“We believe he has a wide range of abilities and choices at his disposal.” Should he choose to employ military force, which, as we previously stated, might happen at any time,” he said.
Meanwhile, citing the latest intelligence obtained by London, the UK’s foreign minister claimed Russia may invade Ukraine “at any time.”
Liz Truss tweeted, “Recent information suggests Russia might invade at any time, and we encourage the Kremlin to deescalate.”
The remarks come amid rising tensions with Russia, which has amassed an estimated 100,000 troops and advanced weapons along Ukraine’s borders.
