Images from the TV Tower in Kyiv after Russian missile attack is hard to see

According to Ukraine’s State Service for Emergency Situations, a Russian airstrike damaged the major television tower in the center of Kyiv, killing five people and injuring five more.

After a bomb in the Babi Yar region, Ukraine’s Interior Ministry reported that equipment had been destroyed and that “channels will not work for a while.”

The missile assault damaged an electrical substation that powered the tower as well as the tower’s control room, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, who posted a video of the tower being hit.

On Facebook, Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukraine’s presidential office, said a “strong missile attack” had hit “where the (Babi) Yar monument complex is located.”
