The recent black-clad protest by Congress was made fun of by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, who claimed that “dark magic” was being spread in the Parliament. ANI quoted PM Modi in a tweet that said “Due to their despair and negativity, some people turn to black magic. On August 5th, we witnessed an attempt to spread black magic. These folks believe that by dressing in all-black, their depressing time will end. However, these individuals are oblivious that no matter how much they practice black magic and adhere to superstitions, people will never again be able to put their trust in them.”
Some people are resorting to black magic as they are immersed in despair & negativity. We saw on 5th August that there was an attempt to propagate black magic. These people think that by wearing black clothes, their period of despair will end: PM Modi pic.twitter.com/qLwrhGHfa7

Congress MPs, including former party leader Rahul Gandhi, staged a protest in the Parliament House complex on Friday and led a march toward the Rashtrapati Bhawan as part of a national outcry against price hikes, the GST increase on basics, and unemployment. The opposition party’s leader, Sonia Gandhi, stood at gate number one of Parliament with the party’s female MPs, carrying a banner as they chanted anti-government rallies and urged the administration to drop its plan to hike the GST on needs.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded to the protest by equating it with the party’s “appeasement” policies. Congress lawmakers were wearing all-black apparel to oppose the laying of the Ram temple’s foundation stone by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this day in 2020. Shah asserted that although Congress representatives have previously demonstrated in their regular apparel, they purposefully wore black clothing for Friday’s demonstration as Modi peacefully resolved a 550-year dispute involving the religious beliefs of millions of people.
