Priyanka Gandhi’s “Children’s Instagram was hacked” will be investigated by CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team)
The Instagram accounts of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's children have been hacked: The claims will be investigated by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, or CERT-In, which is part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
According to NDTV, Congress politician Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s allegations that her children’s Instagram accounts were hacked will be probed by the government’s elite anti-cybercrime team.
The centre decided to conduct its own investigation into the accusation. Priyanka Gandhi has yet to submit a formal grievance.
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, or CERT-In, which is part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, will investigate claims that Priyanka Gandhi’s children’s Instagram accounts were hacked. The CERT-In operates a cutting-edge lab that can track down hackers and protect against cyberattacks.
When asked about pre-election raids on political opponents and charges of unlawful phone eavesdropping, Priyanka Gandhi claimed the government was spying on her children on social media yesterday.
“Even my children’s Instagram accounts have been hacked, not to mention phone tapping. Is there nothing else they can do?” In response to a query, she stated.
Priyanka Gandhi and other opposition leaders have also demanded a full probe into claims of phone snooping using the Israeli firm NSO’s spyware Pegasus.
Since November 2019, when Congress claimed that the government had hacked the phones of three opposition figures, including Priyanka Gandhi, a political storm has been brewing. Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, has made a similar assertion.
The Pegasus spyware case has now reached the Supreme Court, which appointed a retired judge to lead an investigation into charges that the Israeli-made malware was used to snoop on journalists, activists, and politicians in October of this year.
Priyanka Gandhi is the Congress’s Uttar Pradesh unit leader, tasked with turning around the party’s fortunes after a string of poor results in recent elections.
Priyanka Gandhi, the daughter of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, who became the newest member of the Nehru-Gandhi clan to enter politics ahead of the 2019 general election, has been perceived as more assertive this time than previous, when the Congress bombed, winning only one parliamentary seat.
