Road transport and Highways minister, Nitin Gadkari slams netizens for defaming him on social media, mentions “will not hesitate to take them to the law”

Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, slammed his critics on Thursday for “cooking up” his assertions for a “nefarious and fabricated” political campaign.

The active and vocal minister, who was removed from the BJP’s parliamentary board last week, hinted at legal action in the larger interests of the government and the party.

Gadkari tweeted, “Today, once again, efforts were being made to continue the nefarious and fabricated campaign against me for political mileage on my behest by some section of mainstream media, social media and some persons in particular by concocting my statements at public programmes without context or correct reference”. He even shared the link of the speech he made at the book launch, the same, which was selectively being used by the specific users on social media.

The BJP leader warned the malicious operators that he would no longer wait to take legal actions if things like these continue to take place. He tagged BJP president JP Nadda and PMO in his tweet. The same tweet went like, “Although, I’ve never been disturbed by such malicious agendas of fringe elements but all concerned are hereby warned that if such mischief continues, I will not hesitate to take them to the law in the larger interest of our Government, Party and millions of our hardworking Karyakartas”.
