Roskomnadzor advises the Russian media to refrain from publishing Zelensky interview
Russia’s communications watchdog warned Russian media on Sunday not to publicise an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and said it had launched an investigation into the outlets that had interviewed the Ukrainian leader.
The watchdog claimed in a brief statement circulated on social media and posted on its website that a number of Russian media outlets had conducted interviews with Zelensky.
“Roskomnadzor advises the Russian media to refrain from publishing this interview,” it said. It did not explain why it issued the warning.
Russian prosecutors stated that a legal opinion on the remarks made in the interview, as well as the legality of releasing the interview, would be issued.
Zelensky spoke with a number of Russian periodicals.
