The Secret Service is paying $30,000 per month for Mailbu’s property to protect Hunter Biden, according to a report

According to an ABC investigation, the Secret Service is apparently paying $30,000 per month to rent a Malibu property as part of their attempts to oversee President Joe Biden’s son Hunter’s protection.

According to the article, Biden’s son is already renting a home of his own in a wealthy California beachside community for $20,000 per month.

“Hunter Biden is reportedly spending his father’s presidency living in luxury in Malibu — and so is his taxpayer-funded security detail,” ABC reports, adding, “The agency in charge of protecting the president and his family — among other ranking government officials — selected the property in order to be as close as possible to Biden’s own rented mansion, where he is paying about $20,000 a month according to property listings.”

Paying excessive rent, according to retired Secret Service supervisor Don Mihalek, “is the cost of doing business for the Secret Service.”

“In most cases, wherever a protectee sets up house, the Secret Service is required to find a nearby rental at market value,” he stated. “This isn’t a new concept. The Service has had to do this in previous administrations, and the current property market has drove prices up significantly.”
