Thousands of protesters broke in Sri Lanka’s President house, a police officer also joins in
The citizens of Sri Lanka protested on the streets when the reports of the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa leaving Sri Lanka surfaced. Moreover, even a police officer stops his duty and joins protesters in Maharagama.
Thousands of protesters were seen protesting on Sri Lanka’s streets. Also, the protestors broke all the barriers imposed by the police officer’s and broke into the President’s official residence on Saturday 9th July.
There are various videos surfacing on the internet where the protesters are trying to get inside the official president residence. The protesters were shouting out the slogans against Rajapaksa outside his official house.
However, currently, the island is facing a big financial mismanagement because of inflation. And day by day, the island’s financial condition is worsening.
All the prices including fuel, taxes, food, gas cylinder, along with medicine has been touching skies. However, the citizens are already trified on the financial condition of Sri Lanka.
But the reports of the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa leaving for his house triggered the people even more. Additionally, even the police officer stopped doing his duty and joined the protesters’ massive group on the streets.
