Ukraine has put up real forces near breakaway territories, according to Russia’s Shoigu
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu warned Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday that Ukraine had built up real forces near breakaway territories in the east of the country and was prepared to take them back by force, despite Kyiv’s denials.
Ukraine, according to Shoigu, has increased shelling of the breakaway territories. Kyiv had earlier denied culpability after Russia claimed that a shell fired from Ukrainian territory had completely damaged a border patrol post in Russia’s Rostov area.
