Union Cabinet clears proposal to increase age of marriage for women to 21 years
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the proposal to extend the age of wedding for girls from eighteen to twenty one years, sources aforesaid. This comes a year when Prime Minister Narendra Modi created the announcement throughout his legal holiday address from Red Fort in August 2020.
