Russia started a “full-scale invasion” of Ukraine late Wednesday evening, according to the Ukrainian government, and President Joe Biden accused Vladimir Putin of deliberately deciding to carry out “a premeditated war that will result in a devastating loss of life and human misery.”
Russian bombardment began shortly after Putin announced that he had “decided to conduct a special military operation” in Ukraine to “demilitarise and denazify” the country. He urged Ukraine’s military to lay down their arms and hand over control of their country to Russia.
