Zelenskyy Said i am on Bankova Street. I’m not hiding!

During a video released on social media on Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky defiantly announced his whereabouts, vowing, “I’m remaining in Kyiv.”

“On Bankova Street,” he continued, referring to the presidential offices. “I’m not frightened of anyone, and I’m not hiding.”

Zelensky aimed the camera out the window at what seemed to be Kyiv at night, as well as the Gorodetsky House, which is direct across the street from his offices.

The bold announcement comes following reports that the Ukrainian president had escaped three assassination attempts by Kremlin agents since the Russian invasion began.

The film starts with a selfie-and follows Zelensky as he goes through wood-paneled corridors. It then switches to a higher-resolution video camera, which shows the president sitting at a desk, his cell phone put away.

Zelensky is also thought to have escaped two assassination attempts by the Wagner Group, a mercenary group made up of Russian ex-soldiers suspected of war crimes around the world.

This isn’t the first time Zelensky has mocked his assailants: in the early days of the conflict, shortly after turning down an offer of evacuation from the US, Zelensky broadcast a video of himself on the streets of Kyiv.
