Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweets on Andhra Pradesh Corporator’s murder

A corporator was run over multiple times in Andhra’s Pradesh Kakinada late on Thursday. The corporator was identified as Kampara Ramesh, reports India Times.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his sympathies in his most recent tweet.

Kakinada Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhimarao said Ramesh was hit by a car near a car repair shed around 2.30 am. “Before the murder, Ramesh had consumed liquor in the same shed with some friends. When they were about to leave the place, a verbal brawl took place that led to the mishap,” the DSP said.

The body was sent to a hospital in Kakinada for postmortem and a case has been registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The search to catch the abused is underway.
