Benjamin Mendy arrives at Chester Crown Court for quick hearing
French man and Manchester City star defender Benjamin Mendy entered pleas of not guilty to nine charges of sexual assault against six women on Monday. The 27 year old refused all the charges, including rapes, at the Chester Crown Court. The attacks are assumed to be taken at his place in between October 2020 and August 2021.
Mendy last played for The Blues against Tottenham Hotspur on Aug 15 and was suspended by the Premier League club later that month when he was arrested. The French signed for City in 2017 from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco for a whopping amount of 52 million pound sterling.
Mendy’s co – defendant Louis Saha Matturie, 40, also entered as non guilty to 12 charges against him.
The trial is set for July 25.
