Big rise for Suryakumar Yadav, jumps to 2nd in T20Is

Mumbai Indians player and top order Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) has moved three ranks up to second position in the latest ICC T20 rankings for batters.

SKY made a 76 runs of 44 balls in the third T20I against West Indies is now just two points away from Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who is on top of the heap. Also, the knock made him adjudged Man of the Match in the game.

Suryakumar has made 111 runs in the three matches and two are still to go in the series, if he continues his top form, the Indian will most likely dethrone Babar Azam and will become the No. 1 T20I batter.

Moreover, India opener Shikhar Dhawan has moved up one slot to 12th position after getting a half century in the last match of their series in the West Indies.

Meanwhile, South Africa batter Reeza Hendricks, who notched half-centuries in all three matches against England, has moved up 16 slots to 15th position. West Indies batter Brandon King (up 29 places to 27th), England’s Jonny Bairstow (up 13 places to 31st) and South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw have also made notable gains.

The 4th T20I match between the Windies and the Men in Blue will be played on 6th August, 8pm IST at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, United States.
