Bruce Buck to be released as Chairman of Chelsea FC
The Chelsea FC today announced that Bruce Buck will be stepping down from his role w.e.f 30 June as the Chairman of the club. He will still continue to support the Club as a Senior Advisor. Buck was serving as Chairman since 2003.
During his tenure as Chairman, Chelsea has become one of the world’s most elite football clubs and a globally recognized club in the eyes of millions. The club won 18 major trophies, the most by an English club while Chelsea Women FC won 12 major championships.
The club also boosted up its revenue and became commercially better, it established world class facilities at Cobham, and developed one of the best youth academies in football. Buck also helped in setting up The Chelsea FC Foundation, which is famous for youth athletics, education and employment programmes.
