Christian Eriksen joins forces with the Red Devils
Manchester United have officially completed the signing of Denmark player Christian Eriksen on a three year contract. The 25 year old has signed a deal until 2025 and is now the second signing of Manchester United this summer after Tyrell Malacia.
After leaving Brentford, Eriksen was a free agent and now with joining United, the club has reinforced the attack with a player who has shone in the Premier League during his six years with Tottenham.
However, Eriksen will not patch up with the United squad on their pre-season tour of Australia, where they will be facing Crystal Palace and Aston Villa at Melbourne and Perth respectively on next Saturday.
“Manchester United is a special club, and I cannot wait to get started. I have had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times but to do it in the red shirt of United will be an amazing feeling.”
“I have seen Erik’s work at Ajax and know the level of detail and preparation that he and his staff put into every day. It is clear that he is a fantastic coach.” said Eriksen on joining Old Trafford.
Eriksen flew to England last week for a stringent medical after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for his national side against Finland at the European Championship last year.
