Coach David Moyes impressed by Manchester United loan star Jesse Lingard’s football skills
Scottish professional football coach David Moyes praised footballer Jesse Lingard for showing off his skills at the very right moment into West Ham’s season.
The 28-year-old footballer struggled for getting opportunities at Manchester United, he later took the decision to go out on loan to the East London club in January’s transfer window. Currently, he sits in the top four of the Premier League as his performance in the season is beyond expectations.
At Etihad, West Ham United wasn’t able to defeat Manchester City as they went down to a 2-1 defeat.
Overall Coach Moyes was happy with the performance despite the result. He’s also impressed by what the United loanee has added to West Ham United Club.
Moyes said, “Jesse has brought us quality, which he’s got. Over the years he has shown his level. He can play several roles – wide, as a 10, as a forward, an out-and-out 9 if we needed, a midfield player,” said Moyes.
He further added, “He takes the ball. He is someone who is helping us open games up. We needed something else [in the squad] and I think Jesse has given it and he has also helped the players around him by running with the ball and building play up. I’ve been really pleased.”
