In the men’s doubles match, Satwik and Chirag appeared to be completely in control of Singapore’s Yong Kai Terry Hee and Andy Jun Liang Kwek, winning 21-11, 21-12. They seemed unbothered and gave India a strong start in both games. Despite outperforming the Singaporean pair in the first game, they attempted to put Satwik and Chirag under pressure early on in the second game. However, the Indian pair played strong defense and took advantage of every opportunity to give the team a quick advantage.

After that, Jia Min Yeo, who was formerly regarded as the next major talent in women’s singles, was defeated by Sindhu in an unflappable 21-11, 21-12 victory, solidifying India’s position. In the match, in which the Indians won 2-0, the crosscourt plays and tempo change performed incredibly well.

Even yet, the men’s singles match between Lakshya and world champion Loh Kean was the highlight of the Mixed Team Event. The 20-year-old had a sluggish start to the first game, but because of excellent defensive performance, he quickly recovered to win nine straight points and win the match 21-18. The second game was a back-and-forth battle, with Lakshya playing catch up until he managed to take a slim one-point lead into the half. However, in the second half, he appeared to be completely in charge, forcing error after error from his opponent at the net to win the game 21-15.

On Tuesday, India will now compete against Malaysia. The squad had won the 2018 CWG final in Gold Coast 3-1 over their Asian opponent.

The Indian team has won eight medals so far, including three gold, three silver, and two bronze.
