Cricket South Africa appoints Pholetsi Moseki as permanent CEO
Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Wednesday appointed Pholetsi Moseki as the permanent chief executive officer (CEO) of the cricket organization.
Moseki has been serving as acting CEO of CSA since December 2020. Moseki’s first official day on the job will be April 1, for a period of five years.
Since Thabang Moroe was suspended in December 2019, CSA has been without a full-time CEO.
“Finding a new CEO has been a critical component in fixing cricket from the ground up and setting us on a path to renewal and growth,” said CSA chairperson Lawson Naidoo.
“I am delighted that Pholetsi has agreed to take on this exciting challenge and have every confidence that he will make cricket a national game to be proud of for all South Africans.”
Since joining the CSA family, Pholetsi has demonstrated extraordinary dedication and commitment. It was he who was a key link in the leadership chain, especially during challenging times. He has played a critical role in moving the organization in the right direction,” Naidoo concluded.
