Cristiano Ronaldo announces the death of his newly born child
Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his “deepest sadness” following the untimely death of one of his twin babies.
On Monday evening, the Manchester United and Portugal striker shared the terrible news on his social media pages.
Ronaldo said that his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez had given birth to a daughter, but that her baby brother had perished.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” Ronaldo said in a message on Instagram and Twitter addressed from him and Rodriguez.

“It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.
“Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
In November, Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced that she was expecting twins. They announced their pregnancy on social media the next month, saying they were expecting a boy and a girl.
Ronaldo has a fifth kid, a daughter. Alana Martina, Rodriguez’s four-year-old daughter, was born in November 2017. Ronaldo had become the father of twins Eva Maria and Mateo, who were born via surrogate five months before. Cristiano Jr, his 11-year-old son from a prior relationship, is his other child.
