David Willey on the Way to join RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s last choice in the 2022 IPL Mega-Auction was David Willey. The Challengers bought the English bowling all-rounder for Rs 2 crore as a basic fee. His T20 skills boast a whopping 203 wickets at a respectable 7.9 economy rate. He also has some batting experience, having scored 2943 runs with a strike rate of 141.08 in the shortest version of the game.

For at least the first few games, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be without top Australian acquisitions Glenn Maxwell, Jason Behrendorff, and Josh Hazlewood.

Despite not participating in the limited-overs series against Pakistan, which begins March 29, Cricbuzz reports that David Warner, Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins will miss the first week of the IPL.

This is due to Cricket Australia’s policy of prohibiting contracted players from competing in other events when the national team is in action.

This provides a number of possibilities for the side’s quicks to make an impact.

Quick with the left arm David Willey is one of the English players who is looking to build a name for himself in the IPL. If he is selected in Hazlewood’s absence, he will attempt to fill an international player place in the RCB starting XI and give the side a joyful headache when the Aussie returns.

Willey may only have three IPL games and two wickets to his name, but one of his greatest assets is his versatility. He can be a great asset for the team moving ahead. He left from manchester for Mumbai today to join Rcb
