Erik ten Hag interested in signing Casemiro?
Red Devils, Manchester United have reportedly reached out to Real Madrid star Casemiro, in context of signing the Brazilian over. After their 4-0 loss to Brentford, the club thinks that Casemiro will be a better option than Barcelona mid fielder Frenkie de Jong.
With a shaky start to their Premier League campaign, Manchester United are desperately looking to strengthen their midfield position before the transfer window closes.
Although, it is unclear whether Casemiro would be open to join forces with United, as he is under contract at Madrid is until 2025 and remains a key player in manager Carlo Ancelotti’s supervision.
De Jong, who has been on the list of Man United since May, remains an active target, but there are growing doubts that a deal will be concluded.
On the other hand, Casemiro would be a fantastic addition and would instantly strengthen their midfield options.
However, United will have to give a lot to get on board the Brazil international as it will be a complete shift from the Spanish club, who are the current Champions League holders while United are preparing for a campaign in the Europa League.
