Fabian Schar signs new two year deal with Newcastle United
The Swiss man who has been an integral part of Newcastle United this season, has signed a new contract with the club for two years. Arriving at St. James Park in 2018, he has made total of 98 appearances in all competition and leagues and thus has scored nine goals. He also is very much active for his national team and will be expecting for a place in the World Cup squad for this year later.
After the contract was sealed here is what Schar said in an interview, “I’m absolutely delighted. It’s what I always wanted – to stay here to play for this unbelievable club”. ” Since my first day in Newcastle, I felt so comfortable; it’s like a second home and now to stay here for some more years, I’m delighted.”
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe had some kind words for the Swiss man, “I’ve been delighted with Fabian’s form. He is the ultimate professional and a hugely important player in our dressing room. He is very driven for future success and I’m pleased he will be a part of our future.”
On the league context, Newcastle United will face Liverpool on Saturday at the St. James Park in Newcastle.
