The International Federation of Association Football, FIFA, has decided to lift the suspension that was put on the All India Football Federation (AIFF), which was due to third – party influence.
The decision was taken in view after FIFA received confirmation that the administrators who were put up to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee had been terminated and that the AIFF administration had assured full control of the AIFF’s daily activities.
However, the FIFA and the AFC will continue to monitor the situation and will support the AIFF in organising its elections in a organised time.
But, the big news for all Indian football lovers is that, the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 will be held in India as planned earlier on from the time of 11-30 October 2022.
