ICC ODI Batting Rankings: Smriti Mandhana Rises To 5th
On Tuesday, India opener Smriti Mandhana climbed two places to fifth, while captain Mithali Raj retained her second place among batters in the latest ICC women’s ODI rankings. As for ratings, Mandhana has 710 points, while Raj has 738. Alyssa Healy of Australia retained her lead with 742 points. Australians Beth Mooney (719) and Amy Satterthwaite (717) are third and fourth, respectively. Among the bowlers, veteran Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami has retained her second-place ranking with 727 rating points, behind Australia’s Jess Jonassen (773).
With her fine performance in the second One-Day International of their three-match series against England, Ellyse Perry returned to the top of the list of all-rounders.
The top player Ellyse Perry scored a steady 64-ball 40 and took three for 12 in seven overs to win the Player of the Match award in Melbourne. She gained 47 rating points to pass England’s Nat Sciver (360) and grab number one place.
In India, Deepti Sharma remains in fourth place with 299 points, while Goswami (251) is in 10th.
