India vs West Indies, 1st T20I
After a successful ODI series against the Windies, the Men in Blue square off in a five match T20I series. The first match is being played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is back and off to a flying start, the Mumbai Indians captain made 64 runs in 44 balls, with 7 fours and 2 sixes, when in the 15th over Jason Holder dismissed him.
The only other cracking knock was of Dinesh Karthik, who made a 19 ball 41, a strike rate of more than 200. Suryakumar Yadav was looking good and was willing to hit a big one but Akeal Hosein got the better of him. The destruction and in form batter Hardik Pandya also failed as he was only a matter of 3 balls on the crease.
India made 190/6 in their 20 overs, the Windies chase is just about to begin in few time.
The pick of the bowlers from the West indies was Akeal Hosein who bowled 4 overs, 14 runs and a wicket, Jason Holder was the most expensive of them all with 4 overs, 50 runs and 1 wicket.
