IPL 2022: Aakash Chopra Predicts RCB Player Retentions, Excludes Glenn Maxwell

International Premier League 2022: According to Aakash Chopra's YouTube channel, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) could keep Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Devdutt Padikkal. He further stated that the management may be forced to pick between Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj.

Many Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans are unsure who would be retained by the club ahead of the next Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction. To everyone’s pleasure, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra revealed who he believes would be retained by the RCB administration. Former captain Virat Kohli and senior spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, according to the 44-year-old, will be retained by the franchise. Chopra went on to say that the management could be torn between Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel. “Virat Kohli, Yuzi Chahal,” he said on his YouTube page.

If it were up to me, I would strive to keep Mohammed Siraj and Devdutt Padikkal. “These are the four players I have.”

“In fact, I’m thinking about Harshal right now.” So it’s either Siraj or Harshal. Devdutt Padikkal, too. “I want to keep these four players, with Yuzi Chahal and Virat Kohli as my top two retention options,” he continued.

When deciding between Siraj and Harshal, the management will need to consider their vision, according to the commentator.

“In terms of long-term vision, you can see Siraj. “Harshal’s progress in the previous 12 months has been really positive,” he remarked.

“However, you’re looking at three seasons.” “It’s not just one or two.”

Chopra joked about leaving out all-rounder Glenn Maxwell from his list “That’s because I don’t have complete faith in him. He’s doing well, but I’m not sure how long he can keep it up.”

RCB finished third in the IPL 2021 league table and qualified for the playoffs. The Bengaluru team was eliminated from the playoffs after falling to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Eliminator. It was also Kohli’s final season as captain, with the batsman stating that he will go down after the IPL 2021.
