IPL Auction 2021 Highlights
In IPL Auction 2021 we’ve seen the costliest buy in the history of IPL with Rajasthan Royals buying Chris Morris at 16.25 crores. The highest ever bid for an uncapped player, K Gowtham was for 9.75 crores by Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai Indians hit jackpot with a Tendulkar is back in their squad. With just 61 slots, there were over 292 players on the auction list.
This list included 164 Indian cricketers players, 125 overseas players and three players from Associate Nations.

While there were a few big unexpected bids, there remain some big names that weren’t sold tonight including Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Aaron Finch, among others. Two India veterans were bought in this year’s auction i.e. KKR bought Harbhajan Singh for ₹2 crores while Kedar Jadhav was also picked for ₹2 crores by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
IPL 2021 is back in India after being held in the UAE last year due to the COVID-19Â pandemic.
The last bid in the auction was of Arjun Tendulkar who enters the Mumbai Indians squad.
Totally, Rs 145.30 crore was spent to buy a total of 57 players.
