Jake Paul postpone his fight with Tommy Fury, saying the boxer “went into hiding”
The Problem Child claims he’s formally moving on to a new opponent for his Aug. 6 show, thus the Jake Paul and Tommy Fury battle has been postponed once more.
According to earlier reports, Fury’s family’s connections to suspected crime lord Daniel Kinahan prevented him from entering the country to attend the fight press conference in New York City last week.
According to reports, everyone associated with Kinahan or his MTK Global boxing organization has been denied entry into the United States as authorities look for any leads on his whereabouts.
Jake, on the other hand, doesn’t accept the justification that Tommy simply needed to visit the embassy to obtain a visa but was delaying doing so.
There are claims that Paul will compete against Hasim Rahman Jr., the son of the late boxing champion Hasim Rahman, who is 12-1.
HRJ hasn’t faced any notable competitors; his most recent defeat was in April via knockout to James McKenzie Morrison.
Rahman Jr. and Paul have a history together, having sparred multiple times in the past, with “Gold Blooded” applauding the YouTube sensation for his growth over time.
Rahman Jr. may not be as powerful as Fury, but the fight will dissuade those who have criticized Paul for never taking on a “legit” boxer.
