Kevin Pietersen was a fine batsman, and I’m glad I didn’t have to bowl him more: Jason Gillespie

A number of one-way visitors attended the recently concluded Ashes edition. Australia would have received the sequence 5-0 if Stuart Broad and James Anderson had not survived the two overs they did in Sydney to draw the 4th Test.
Former Australian quick bowler Jason Gillespie was one of many who predicted that Australia would win the World Cup.
Before the Ashes started, Gillespie was a visitor on Times of India’s sports activities podcast Sportscast and talked concerning the Ashes rivalry between Australia and England as well as a few English batsmen he thought of as nice gamers from his playing days.
Kevin Pietersen is the man he recalls most fondly for what he might do with a bat. During his England career, KP played 104 Tests, 136 One Day Internationals and 37 Twenty20 Internationals, scoring over 13,000 runs with 23 Test and 9 One Day International centuries as well as being widely recognised as one of the most gifted batsmen of his era, dominating bowling assaults the world over.
Test debuts of Pietersen and Gillespie were made in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
As a result, Gillespie expressed his appreciation for not having to bowl more to KP.
“Kevin Pietersen didn’t bowl enough against me. I was probably past my prime in 2005, when Kevin Pietersen first appeared for England, so I didn’t get to bowl much to him, but I believe he would have had more success against me had I bowled more to him. He was a fine, fine batsman, and I’m probably glad I didn’t have to bowl more to him.” Gillespie said, according to TOI Sportscast.
