Pelé is in the hospital with a colon tumour and will be out in a few days

Pelé, the legendary Brazilian soccer player, was admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo to continue his treatment for a colon tumour.

Pelé’s secretary, Pepito Fornos, informed The Associated Press that Pelé is undergoing chemotherapy to treat a tumour discovered during routine checkups in late August.
Pelé was placed in intensive care for a short time following surgery on his right colon. He is recuperating at his house in Guarujá, about an hour outside of Sao Paulo.
Pelé won three World Cups, in 1958, 1962, and 1970, and is still Brazil’s all-time best scorer with 77 goals in 92 games.
