PSG vs Real Madrid : Mbappe’s brilliant moment
Kylian Mbappe scored in the fourth minute of injury time to give Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of their heavyweight Champions League last-16 tie.
Kylian Mbappé scored a stunning individual goal in stoppage time to give Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 home victory over Real Madrid, saving Lionel Messi’s blushes after he missed a penalty in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday.
Messi has scored only two goals in Ligue 1 since his shock move to PSG. He was forced to leave Barcelona after 21 years as Catalans could no longer afford his wages. But he has fared much better in the Champions League for PSG, scoring five times in five group games, including a wonderful strike in 2-0 home win over Manchester City.

PSG needed 94 minutes to find the winner, which came from a brilliant run by Mbappé, who danced in between two defenders and calmly slid the ball into the far corner to give PSG a well-deserved victory after dominating the game.
PSG squandered several chances and were foiled by Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who denied Mbappé on several occasions before superbly blocking Messi’s penalty kick in the second half. After surviving a first-half onslaught from PSG, Real appeared to be heading for a draw until Lionel Messi had a penalty saved by Thibaut Courtois just after the hour mark at the Parc des Princes.
Mbappe burst into the box from the left and between two defenders before finishing past Courtois for his 22nd goal of the season in the final minute of stoppage time. “It was a great game for us and I’m always ready to help my team, there are no distractions,” Mbappé said.
